Default Need some advice.

Hey guys,

Just joined. I recently bought a 93 Cherokee. It is 4x4 auto trans. Truck came with a 3.5 rough country lift on it. I'm trying to decided what to do as far as upgrades. I do all my own vehicle work myself. So my questions are I'm gonna do 5.5 lift shocks. What other parts need to be upgraded. What a good front locker is and has anyone welded the rear axle and how well has it worked. Thnx.

Welcome to the forum.

For a start you need to give us a lot more information about your current setup and what parts are already installed on it as to what all you will need.

From what we know now it could cost from a couple of grand to well over $5k depending on what has been done.

So you're looking to go up to about 6" of lift?

That would require basically replacing every price of your suspension and steering.

First question, what size tires do you plan to run? Second, what do you plan to do with it? Street queen, daily driver, woods rig only, what kind of terrain, etc. Your setup will basically revolve around those questions.

Hey guys thank you for the replays. Right now I'm thinking 33s but may go 35s not sure exactly. It will be for crawling and woods off-roading. It is not my DD.

A good Long Arm setup to start and for me to go from a 3" lift to a 4 1/2" (short arm) using all good parts just over $5500. Will do the long arm upgrade this year oh yes and I had a lot of good parts to start with. It may very well cost you more depending on what all labor you can do gears and lockers will run from 2-4k depending on what you use and setup costs.
