After driving at a speed of at least 45 mph for at least 45 minutes or so, when i slow down and make turns, there is a loud grinding noise coming from beneath my jeep. I think it may be coming from the front area.

Does anybody know what this could be? Maybe wheel bearing?

What exactly do u drive ? It could differ depending on year ,model I would hope it's a jeep but I think we need more. Also what type if grinding? Is it when u brake ? Is it a metal on metal sound? Is it a clicking noise? Is it both? Is there anything hanging? Which side is it predominantly on? Does it happen every time since this ?

Someone may correct me on this, but I think you would hear the wheel bearings regardless of how long you've been driving if they're bad.

To test, jack up the front, grab the tire at 12 and 6 o'clock and try to move it up and down. It shouldn't have any play.

you will hear a wheel bearing for sure if you load it while driving so say its the left one make a rigth turn which will put th eload on the let wheel bering and the noise goes away or gets louder it its always there no matter what it may not be a bearing
