Local shop is doing it for $350, they are include any harness/relays needed so no additional costs. Will be nice knowing my Jeep is safe and sound
Is that labor or he price of the alarm or both

For the Smaart Start, far as I know, its a one time/yearly fee....the basic package is $150 for 3 years. That gives you lock/unlock arm/disarm, remote start and trunk( I suggest using the trunk to trigger rear defrost on a XJ) all through your device....no remotes needed. And they are available for iPhone, Android and Blackberry.

Price is for both labor and the alarm plus any relays and harnesses needed. Viper sells the alarm for $299 and it includes basic install. Best buy charges for everything so local shop charges $349 but includes any extra parts needed. Besides I would much rather support the lil guys out there than chain stores.

You should get someone on here to make viper stickers and put them on all 4 Windows, that way a thief will know its alarmed instead having to break a window first, Kind of like people with adt alarm signs without having it.

Looks like I'm going with the Viper for $300. Thinking about GPS or lojack but I heard it runs about $30 dollars a month.

My cheap off road lights have a led light by the switch that is always on hopefully that is what has been deterring people thus far lol.

If you go on Vipers website you can search for dealers. Avoid Best Buy if at all possible.

I love Best Buy....I make a lot of money off of their failed attempts at quality installation.

They priced me one viper alarm at $400 then with install and relays and harness was gonna be damn near $600...I was like my jeep isn't even worth $600 hahaha they just charge for everything and are way over priced. Like I said I'm paying $350 or the one I'm getting tomorrow but having a local shop do it. Anything to support the little guys out there.
