I know this is the xj forum but it's the most active.

I have a 95 yj 2.5l IL4 ax5 manual
I found someone willing to trade an 88 grand Wagoneer. I have looked at it and it is not a lost cause. Minor floor pan rust, signs of blown head gasket. V8 automatic. Faded paint, bad wood trim. Inside trim needs work
My Wrangler is a good solid 4x4

I like a project but I have too many right now.
Trade or no trade. You tell me.

Keep your solid YJ. You don't need the headaches.
p.s. What's wrong with being a lost cause?

Well that sounds like its a decision you have to make since you said you already have a lot of projects going on. Is your current YJ your DD? With signs of a blown head gasket I doubt the wagoneer drives very good. Would you need it to drive everyday? Or do you have the time you can use to get the motor going and fix the rust... or whatever else you feel like it needs....

From another standpoint, if it's a trade you are thinking about so you can have a wagoneer instead of a YJ, sounds like good timing if you want to deal with repairs instead of your solid Wrangler.

Yeah, so I decided to not trade for it. It was a really nice opportunity to have such a rare Jeep. I have too many projects going on and tbh I love my YJ. It’s nice to have a Jeep I can know is solid and runs right.
