I agree, a side from the ONE guy on here I've had an issue with its been all good people.

The guys over there though are all up tight for some reason. I closed my account there a while ago, I much prefer here.

im not ragging on you, but you openly say you dont like the mods, then say you have created multiple accounts to defy them... id boot your butt too!

i like NAXJA, i do a lot of lurking over there due to the higher technical discussions. example: I know how to work on cars, but i cant design and build my own 4 link. they also seem to have a greater amount of knowledge, and a great write up section... but when it comes down to it, this forum is a lot of fun, and i prefer it over others, hence why im a supporter!

I find Pirate more friendly and welcoming than the stuck up know it alls on NAXJA. Glad they banned me. If your opinion differs don't let them know or they'll ban you too.

I don't mind NAXJA, even though I was banned from there years ago, no clue why either. But it is more stuck up anyway. I agree it's more setup for chapters, which isn't bad, but so are we, and our chapter (Southeast) is getting more and more traffic.

Pirate is great for info too, but I just prefer to lurk.

It is proven however that CF is the greatest website known to man. True story, I read it on the internet.

 

Lots of folks believe they've been banned when in fact their account was deactivated due to non-usage.

 

Maybe I just want to believe too much in the basic decency of people...but I find it hard to swallow people are getting banned for "nothing." If something like that happens that is truely unfair, it seems someone would be able to find a voice of reason somewhere and resolve the issue.
Oh well.
I haven't found the NAXJA or CF folk snobby, but that's just me. Pirate can be pretty brutal on cockiness of everyone. But still, I didn't run into people that were being unreasonable...just being D-bags

I noticed that too, I saw a guy correct a mod, the mod got pissed, there was a little pissy fight and the end result was the guy getting banned.

Not sure if the mod purposely baited the guy because of a previous argument but it was pretty ridiculous. lol.

I like Pirate too, much better than NAXJA.

Cherokee forum is my go to place for XJ/ZJ/WJ, etc stuff but for Local Jeep talk I hang out on Jeepkings.ca and for local canadian oriented offroading forums I'm on Canadian-offroad.com which is currently down for improvements.

 

Bingo. And instead of PMing the Admin as prompted (to reactivate) they decide to bash the site instead. Are there some bad apples.. yes, but no more than other sites.

Arguing with a MOD wont get you banned, your actions however will... just like here. But you never get an honest account from those who were banned.


How many other XJ/MJ sites have donated 10's of thousands (annually) to land use fights to benefit ALL wheelers.. how much has CF donated?
