I'm having an issue with my xj, most of the time when I start it turns on fine, but randomly if I use it then turn it off and try to turn it on again to won't crank over, it's almost as if I'm trying to turn it on, on drive ( if that makes and sense). I have to leave it there for a bit and attempt try it again, I already changed the crank postion sensor, I've heard it could be the nss, if some body give me some advice on what it could it will be appreciated.

 

sounds like nss? thats what happened to me but usually a cold start issue. turn the key all the way and wiggle the tranny in drive. works fine for mee.

 

Give it a shot. If you don't have any luck with that there is always the possibility the CKS you installed was bad from the box. I have heard of that happening to a few of the members on here.
