lol you will only need one speaker, i have a tiny litle 2.5" ext. speaker and its much louder then the in radio speaker as i have it angled at me.
normal for a stock 148 is 4 - 7 watts on am and 12 watts pep on SSB, when i tuned mine i got 17 watts am and around 20 watts pep on ssb. i have a texas star 250 amp im gonna also be running, so i de-tuned the AM side of my radio to about 1.5 watts to match the amp so i don't overdrive/burn it out. the little amp you got is a receive amp, no TX power only for amplifying your receiving signal.

I do understand the jist of it though. Ill let someone who knows tune it,or ill learn how to do it by a set of parameters. But thanks bro.lol
