So today i went to burger king that was up the road for breakfast, and i took a corner and got side ways because of the snow, so some one tell me why the **** would jeep make a rwd jeep cherokee?

If it was snowing why didn't you have it in 4wd or part time.

The rear wheel drive is best for torque.

You are getting "pushed" not "pulled"

thats why I put 10 psi more in the front than the rear on highway use save a heck amount on gas

I only use 4x4 in the snow if I am stuck or in traffic. Otherwise I just feather the throttle to avoid slipping, or hit it for the hell of it and do snow drifts or donuts :devil:

Well its doesnt have any full time or part time awd and ill try the psi diffences but up Here in alaska the snow never gets plowed so it turns to ice but it might help for a bit. Oh and on top of it all the damn retards who owned it before me pulled the fuses for the anti locking brakes that was fun last winter... Bastards.

I only bought my Jeep for the snow in the first place so it needed to be 4x4.

snow drifts...man I do miss Michigan here in new mexico they close the roads with a paper thin amount of snow on the roads and people that drive out here is fun to watch when during the "snow" fall

Put more weight in the back.. a tote full of sand is good. Plus it will also be great if you get stuck in snow. Also drive slower.

The 4wd setting is not made for on pavement use...

And youre wearing your tires quicker.... and your sacrificing handling. Dont do this.

If youre referring to ABS brakes the previous owner did you a favor. I refuse to drive a car in the snow equipped with ABS.

And the Part-Time 4WD CAN be used on pavement - it's not meant for DRY pavement use. If the pavement is wet - snowing, raining, aka allowing slippage - then it's alright.

Front wheel drives pull the car through the snow which is the safest way. ever seen sled dogs pulling the sled, same concept.

RWD pushes and the rear of the truck gets going faster than the front, thus spin out. either use the 4x4 to get a "bite" on the road, or slow down in RWD, or buy a Prius.

drifting is the best part about winter, going sideways will make a man out of you.
