Today has been a good day... I drove 90minutes one way with the wife and brought back home my first cherokee... !!! I'm really happy with the deal and its a pretty straight, clean and solid vehicle.. It has 144k on it, country edition, pretty clean inside... I have many plans for it once time/money allows but would like to ask you guys what are the first things I should do or check?? I'm not new to 4x's but this is my first xj and want to hear it from you guys... what would you do/check with an xj with 144k assuming nothings been done to it...?? and do you think 2400 was a good deal?? considering everything else price wise seems to be inflated around here...

Jeez, what a pile of crap! I'll do you a favor and take that eyesore off of your hands, and I won't even charge a disposal fee.
Nice rig, enjoy it to its fullest.

Great looking Jeep. Just check your fluids...maybe change em all (oil, diff fluid, coolant, tranny fluid), I always put in new plugs and wires.

Nice rig man!
Check basic little stuff that is replaced in a timely regard. I ran mine through the gears when I first got it while i was holding the break just to see how she shifted. Maybe crawl under and check for little leaks. But it's a jeep so no matter how hard you try it's always gunu leak lol

Id replace all fluids. Depending on the trans fluid color/smell either just a fluid change, or a total flush. Nobody seems to do diff's, or transfer case so those should be high priority. Check air filter, replace as necessary. Swap plugs.
Thats the basics when i buy a used vehicle
Like jrok said, get under it and look at everything. Check ball joints, all steering components, bushings ect.
And congrats!!!
