I've read and read the opinions for mufflers to put on the xj but I want one that passes smog in California and is still really loud! and a deep sound too!!Any suggestions? Thanks.

 

glasspack,u cant reall get very loud while being legal

 

So the glass pack is legal. Ok thanks and by loud I mean loud enough to hear me coming and taking off.

 

i have a glasspack,its the loudest u can make ur xj while being legal,and it sounds great,i used thrush

 

Will cherry bomb be any different? because I have a friend that has one unused and willing to give it away!

 

for the most part they are the same,it just depends on the length,mines a 27" and i love it,but i say go for that cherry bomb,throw it on and listen to that motor roar

Mounted but not as loud as I expected since I had it cut off after cat before but al together a good rumble, it's about 27 in long so muffled it up quite a bit. And got my roof rack built as well I'll post pic as soon as I get on comp. Mobile won't let me...

 

The muffler will not cause a vehicle to fail the smog inspection. As long as the EMMISSIONS equipment is there and functioning, it will pass the visual inspection. The muffler is not an emmissions item.

 

yea,you cant get very loud with a cat on it,but thats illegal so dont do it,but i can hear mine takin off and what not with the glass pack,but im glad u like the glass pack though
