Well it's that time of year again and the wj failed excessive movement in upper and lower ball joints on the front end, the testing station dont want to do the job! they havent got the correct tools to do it! a country wide garage group that cant lay its hands on the right tools to do the job! go figure?
so today I rang around a few places to get prices...... luckily I was sitting down when they rang back with the quotes! £115 a side for the ball joints plus labour.... stealer wanted £330+ a side to do the job! so was flicking through my phone contacts and found one saying jeep garage, hit the dial button and someone answered, not who I thought it was so I politely apologised and moved on
now this bugged me, why would I save a number under jeep garage if it wasnt one? so I called them back and asked them who they were and what they did? the wj gets dropped off in the next hour and picked up tomorrow afternoon after they have done the job yep they are a small local jeep specialist garage who are doing both sides for less than the price the stealers want for one side! and thats with the stealers doing it with aftermarket parts!
needless to say the main dealers number has been replaced in my phone with jeep garage
