Found a .stl file online of the front grille for the Jeep XJ and added the "XJ" and decided to make a keychain out of the design. Took a little chunk of 303 Stainless we had laying around the shop and made this. Really pumped how it turned out. Had to use a 1/32" end mill to get into the tight corners and small spaces in between the X and J. Got a new machine in today and the rigger dropping off my machine mentioned that he had a few XJ's and we got to talking. After a couple hours I realized I had a setup piece that I had scrapped. I gave him that setup piece and he was pumped too! Glad to be able to give another XJ fan a cool gift.

Man I really like that. It's simple, clean and stands out to anyone who knows what the front end looks like. Nice job!

Yea I found a cool site that has all of the grilles for all generations of Jeep. Told my old man if he gets another TJ I'll make him one too lol. I want to do another one thats a little bigger and the J can be a bottle opener. Was a lot of fun to make.

Very cool. How did you finish it off? Sandblast or tumbler or something?

Keep up the good work

Deburred everything with a file and sanding stone, used 180 grit sandpaper on both sides then hit it with some VF scotch brite and that did the trick. I was thinking after posting this that I should actually go in and polish it which I might do Monday.
