i have a 96 2 door and wouldn't trade it for the world. that being said i was wondering if any one knows what year they stopped making them, and is there any 2 door grand cherokee?

Well, XJs were made through 2001 so I figure that was when 2 door XJs quit being made. The part of your question about Grand Cherokees I don't know the answer. Somebody else will have to post up to answer that part.

No two door grand cherokees were ever manufactured, but i couldn't tell you if anyone custom made one. I've thought about it, and it would be awesome.
