Maaco Auto body
Has anyone had any experience with Maaco auto body? I was thinking of getting their Ambassador service, in a flat OD green. It's a couple hundred bucks-ish, and the flat green with a flat clear shouldn't be to much.
Anyone ever got their stuff painted by Maaco? My dad doesn't want me to do it myself. So, figured I'd start here.

MACCO can paint, there is no doubt about that (seriously) their problem is the prep work.... IT SUCKS. If you wanna prep it yourself then let them paint it you should be golden

You are better off painting it yourself than going to Maaco. They use cheap paints, and shoot very thin coats. Your paint job will be fadding out and chipping off with in a year or two. Don't go to Maaco.

i used to do body work.
id see a macco paint job come back to us less then a yr later. as a prior poster has said its theyre prep work. yes theyre paints cheap but it would hold up if it had something to grab to. so if u prep it remove the lights and trimmings ureself ull actually save money when u bring it to them too all macco would have to do is mask it and paint it. done.

Wow! Didn't expect this kind of response! Thanks guys! Won't be going there! I;ll try my buddy. He works in a locally owned collision center that has rep.

haha, I heard dat! Yeah, I'm kinda suprised. From their testimonials, they seem pretty good. lol. But thats just their good responses. But my buddy just texted me, and said that he thinks they only do cars that have been in accidents. =(

x2 had my first car painted by them....no tape job or anything..."looked great"....even the trim and the keyholes all matched...just long enough for the warranty then tons of peeling and fading. the first time you wax the clear coat disappears...
