Lucky i wasnt going fast
hey everyone..so the other day i was with my friends and my other buddy in his cj. we were all heading out to some truck pulls/car show about an hour away. the drive out there went fine no issues. once in the town we stopped at another friends to pick him up and when i pulled out of his driveway was a few feet in the road and heard this nasty loud clunk sound. my steering wheel turned full lock to the left and stayed that way throwing me off the road into a ditch..luckally i was not going fast or that would have easilly flipped my jeep multiple times. after all that crap happened i looked under and saw that my driver side control arm snapped in half, passanger side control arm mount ripped clean off the axle, the track bar was bent, the shock mounts and track bar mount were bent so bad they were no longer usable, the front yolk snapped in half along with the front driveshaft. SOOO after all that i was pretty bummed out.. my buddy had a spare front axle i picked up for cheap and some chocolate milk. also had to get a new trackbar but got a nice adjustable one along with nicer front shocks...so yeah everything is all back together for now just have to swap out front locker and it will be back to how it was before. so in other words check your mounts and or reinforce them!!!

Whoa, talk about carnage. Take any pics of the snap? Think it was just worn out? That's really crazy, very lucky you weren't flying.

I'd guess the one Upper arm broke and the second one wasn't strong enough to hold the whole thing.
I've seen that before...
Busted tracebar, shocks, and drag link. Everything else was alright.
Mine slung me down a hill and a bush went thru my windshield.
That day was when that Jeep became a full time trail rig.
It was my own ******* fault tho. Note: Do not attempt to run a 3 link with an upper control arm that your buddy welded together with a POS welder. You can see where the mount broke.
Insurance company bought me lots of pretty new toys.
