Hi,
I'm looking for a recommendation for someone to do engine work on a 1989 Cherokee Laredo. It's located on Oak Island, NC, 25 miles south of Wilmington, NC, and about 35 miles north of N. Myrtle Beach, SC. Any suggestions would be appreciated, The Cherokee has less than 100K and is all original., It's been sitting for a couple of years and was started several times but not very recently. I'm totally non-mechanical, but can hold tools and pray and pay :-).
Thanks,
JCA

I’ve developed a good working relationship with the local Pep Boys, what I’ve found is that everyone of their mechanics/managers have lots of experience with the Jeep 4.0l and have gone above and beyond for me.
I wouldn’t hesitate to take the Jeep anywhere though, at the end of the day it’s a Jeep in my opinion don’t over think it.
I do enjoy to tinker with the Jeep but also I am by no means a mechanic. I have a young family so it’s a prerequisite of owning the Jeep I minimizes the time I spend in the garage.
It also sure was nice to drop the Jeep off and go to Gatlinburg TN while they installed a new radiator/fan hoses etc, tuned it up and replaced all the components to the AC system.
Edit: I’m in Greenville SC
