Engine: 4.0
looking at another XJ need input
found this beauty on kijiji
1998 sport 2 door for $1500
5 Speed, 130,000 kms 4.5" lift
looks like the body is BEAT but it would make a good donor for everything I need to lift my XJ and make it a 5 speed
or i could just fix this one up and have two
The good:
4 1/2 short arm lift kit
31'' tires
130000km on it
power windows, door locks, seats
Bad-
body is pooched
needs brakes, lines ,wheel bearing and a u joint
should i go for it?

I'd try to get him down to $1000. You could then take what you needed off of it to lift yours and make it a 5spd, then sell your old auto and the engine from the donor for like $700 and make back most of your money.
