Default lifted cherokee=truck?

is it just me, or do many people seem to refer to your xj as "truck" after it gets lifted? why? nobody ever called my xj a truck, they alwys said jeep or car. but as soon as the lift and tires went on. people started saying truck. it kinda irritates me because it isn't a ****ing truck. IT'S A JEEP

Lol. Probably has something to do with all the rednecks with 14" blocks and 40" mud tires on their Fords. People assume its the same.

I get "truck" sometimes. I don't mind - my XJ has two solid axles, a decent tow rating, a light truck transmission, and can un-stuck almost anything. If I put a tarp in the "bed" I can haul a dozrn garbage bags too lol. Beats "car"!

It isn't a truck unless you are willing to haul manure in it. That's what I have a RAM 1500 for. My Jeep is a Jeep, not a truck.

I get "truck" all the time. Even been a little guilty of calling it that, too. If my old Bronco II qualified as a "truck", then the XJ is at least twice as much truck as that was.

Generally, I just call it the Jeep, though.

The Bronco II didn't qualify as a truck. A truck is for carrying cargo, as in the pick up bed, or on the flatbed, or even a hand truck, anything that isn't built to move cargo isn't a truck.
The Cherokee is a Cherokee, it is also a Jeep, a station wagon, and a rig, but not a truck.

Cool looking Cherokee, since it does have what could be called a bed to haul cargo in you could call it a truck. Of course Cherokees are much cooler than trucks, so why would you call it a truck.
