Lift kit combinations

Default Lift kit combinations

I'm new to forums and I've found a lot of info on these forums and just needed some info and advice to what you all think. I have a 94 cherokee and 6.5xseries rough country lift can I add a 2" coil spacer in front and a 2" block in rear to give me a total of 8.5" or can I add a leaf in the back With the 2" coil spacer in front?

There's a general dislike against Blocks on here, i still recommend AAL. And do you have the other things covered that you'll need to do with 8.5" of lift?

I want to clear my 35s without any trimming of the fenders and what not. And as for what I have is the full lift kit with transfer case drop and all and going to get driveshaft extended and balanced. If i go with aal lift rather than block can i use one of the leafs from the stock suspension and will adding that leaf give me two inches to match the front? Im either looking at buying the kit that comes wih the spacers and a leaf or in looking at useing a stock leaf and buying just the coil spacers on there own which will be much cheaper. I'm more looking for looks than anything not going to go crazy off roading only like trail riding and some mud. This will be my daily driver Is there anything else I will need to do the 8.5 lift. My wheels are 12.50 wide and wheels are 3.75 backspacing. Please let me know thanks for the replies

you will need an uber long adjustable track bar with drop bracket and a huge drop pitman arm, as well as some pretty long shocks, sway bar end links or disconnects, very long extended brake lines, also you won't find any e-brake cables that easily without modding some up.
also you will definitely need a SYE or doubler on your t-case. not to mention long arms.

They are called bump stops. Search it's a lot less time, effort and $

And I am going to get the sye kit very soon. The bump stops are a good idea if I keep the 6.5 lift without lifting it more thanks for that. I'm just looking for as much as I can get lol. All my cars and trucks I've had I have gone crazy with I even had a jeep wrangler but just sold it to get into cherokee game just don't want to spend a ridiculous amount into it either that's all but what about gearing also will I need like 3.73 gears or 4.10 or the stock gears will be fine? Remember this will be daily driver so lets help me make it right for that with a bit of four wheeling on the side. Would like to do it on a budget but do it right. Thanks again everyone

just trim your fenders. lifting it will not magically make your wheel wells bigger.

for gears you are going to want 4.88s

obviously its not going to make my wheel wells bigger but will give me more space from it. im just going to leave it at 6.5" and do some trimming if necessary. in the future ill go more if wanted. i believe i have bigger gears already how can i tell if i take differential cover off and isn't 4.88 to big for an everyday driver? and one more thing how do i know if i have the 8.25 rear end or dana35 or whatever the other one is.

also on a camanche that is going to be off road only how can i make a lift for it without spending all that money for an actual kit.

anything over 5.5 inches should use long arms.

as for the rear end, if you have abs, you have the d35. if not, could be either.
8.25 has a flat piece along the bottom of the diff, and larger axle tubes. (3" compared to 2.75)

The 8.25 is by far the better axle.

my cover says dana on it and looks aftermarket and red. but it looks much more like the 8.25 cause it has more of that oval shape rather than a circle. i dont have anything to measure the axle can i measure something else?
