Ok I'm gonna bite the bullet and order my kit tonight. Do I go with the RC 3" series 2 with the leaf packs and 31s and play it safe or go with the RE 3.5" with leaf packs and 31s and hope I dont need a SYE. Or try for the RC 4.5" with leaf packs and 31s (don't want to go bigger tires and have to regear) and hope I don't need a SYE? Will it look stupid with a 4.5" and 31s? I hate to ask this same question but I wnat to hear your input..... I heard that the RE is a rough ride. Yes I know its not a caddy but I also dont't want a horrible ride. Also my thing is I don't want to trim my fenders either. I will be doing some trail riding but unfortunatly there isn't many places around me (well that are legal!!!!) Thanks for your input.

rubicon express (RE) has probably the nicest riding kit out there. my RE 5.5 kit rode better than stock for sure. nice and smooth on the access trails going 50 and even 60 (kph) at times.

I would go with the RE. I also put a three inch lift on my 2000 and still get vibrations, just bought SYE. If I had to do it over again I would have went with tthe RE kit, I am now raising it another inch.

I would definitely go with RE. At 3.5" you shouldn't need a SYE. I haven't heard before that RE has a rough ride..they are one of the best around.
A 4.5" won't look terrible with 31" tires, but 32's would make a world of difference.

And on a side note..my XJ has 36" tires..and I have yet to re gear. (I know that's bad, just can't afford it yet! haha)
