Default Lift

Have a 3 inch rustys and the front sits about a inch or half inch lower... I want to level it out so what a spacer be the best... Will it make the front stiffer? Will it flex more?

Won't change anything except the height. Spacers are fine up to about ~2".

That's the way it should be and the way the XJ's came stock from the factory. That is for when you put any weight in the cargo area or hook-up a light weight trailer the rear isn't sagging.

I do not tow anything and do not carry cargo so that is why I want to level it

Just throw some .75" spacers on the front. It wont effect anything else but the height

would I put the spacer on and remove the stock rubber spacer?

You want to keep the stock spring isolators I'm pretty sure.
