Default License plate bracket

Anybody happen to have an extra license plate bracket that's collecting dust? For some reason when I bought my 99 jeep it didn't come with one. Or do you know where I can get one? I was looking online and I wasn't sure what their supposed to look like. Thanks for the help!

Are you talking about the front bracket?

Did you look under the rear seat? When I bought my 2000 new, I found the front license plate mount tucked underneath the rear seat. Yours is probably long gone, but it would be funny if it were still under there.

Mine looks just like this one:

Amazon.com: Crown Automotive 52003479 License Plate Bracket: Automotive Amazon.com: Crown Automotive 52003479 License Plate Bracket: Automotive

I doubt you'll find it cheaper than that.

The older xjs used a nut and bolt. Newer ones have threaded plastic inserts for a bolt.

You can get the inserts/bolts/screws/frames at any parts store for cheap even Wal Mart has them.
