Here is my 01 daily driver. Just got her back on the road after sitting all winter, the cam spun its bearings due to a clogged oil pump, swapped in an engine out of a 97 and were good to go. 3" RC lift, 31'' Grabber at2's, IRO trackbar, IRO tie rod, IRO t-case drop, JKS swaybar discos, Rubicon express stainless brake lines, Detours A pillar brackets with Hella Black magics, WJ front seats,more I probably forgot about.

what clogged the pump?

PO must have went 20k between changes or used junk oil. Sludge in the screen as well as some metal shavings from the oil pump shaft teeth. When we did the swap the valvetrain of the original engine looked like someone dumped roofing tar on the rockers and valve springs.

I thought for a sec being a 2001 it was a head that caused it to plug up with white thick junk.. but no oil change, yep that will do it.

did you swap the ecu also?

Here is my daily driver. It's a 96 with 249,000 on the noisy 4.0. I gave $1000 for it 3 years ago. I will be rebuilding the motor soon aswell as lifting it 4.5, and going to 33's.

Bought mine with a "fresh" paint job Cherokee was spelled cheeroke. Still haven't fixed it only person that ever noticed it was my gf, she actually pointed it out to me
