Real DDs that haul your keister to work at least most of the week! Wild built rigs are great, but those pulling daily duty have be able to behave on the street, offer some level of comfort, and yet still be able to wheel on the weekends.
List the ride, miles, tires, current and planned mods, and any weird personality quirks(the jeep's, not your own ).
I'll start it off with my stocker!
Jeep: 1992 Laredo 4x4 w/ LSD Chrysler 8.25" & 3.08s
Miles: 288K
Tires: 235/75 Falken Rocky Mountains (wknd pressures F20psi, R15psi)
Mods: Just Magnaflow exh, and of course a K&N
Quirks: Not much, one owner rig before me. Cold starts a bit slow, and RH rear window is very slow going up.
Upcoming mods: 2.5-3" lift, black Ds & General 31s, cut-n-fold, QD links, sliders & diff guard, roof rack w/ lights. Love to play with metal, so I plan on fabbing up F/R bumpers, rear swing-out tire mount, and armor w/ integrated flares.
Debating a repaint, or bedliner the whole thing in the same color scheme...?
I drive this every day of the year when its not broken. Its my only vehicle, and I have to borrow a car when its down like right now.
110k miles, 5" lift, 33" cooper stt, HD offroad frame stiffeners, rock sliders, hybrid cage, front/rear skid plates, ares fab stinger bumper, home made rear bumper, front aussie locker.
Once my new motor is in and all going It's getting long armed and a rear locker added. You can daily drive anything in my opinion if you're willing but its not always the smartest choice if you dont have to.
What's been done so far:
6" lift, done from the junkyard, built my own leaf packs, but see below
4.88's with 35" Cooper STT's on custom DIY beadlocks, trimmed fenders (poorly I might add, PO stuff)
crap white body shocks from Rusty's
custom front/rear bumpers and sliders
LED rock lights
4.6l stroker
AA SYE
lots of other stuff, like doorless mod, second sound bar, little stuff like that...too much to list
What needs to be done, that I have the parts for:
Install frame stiffeners, RS mids, DBO fronts and rears
RK 3 link
Serious 1 ton OTK steering
JKS OTK adjustable trackbar
what I don't have yet:
Front and rear springs/hardware
Bilstein shocks
new extended brake lines
other related misc suspension upgrade parts like u-bolts, BPE's, etc.
So from my list you can see I'm doing a complete suspension rebuild, this time with good components. When I bought this XJ I was on a serious budget, and did everything I could as cheaply as possible, and it worked well, but time to upgrade. My only beef with my ride IS the ride.
Everything works. But only because I have addressed all these little issues over time, LOL, like electrical (PO was a HACK)...

Did you do the stroker after 're-gearing or before?
My stroker sure moves even with 3:55 gears and 35s so I'm thinking maybe less gear
I'm gonna regear soon but with the added torque I'm leaning more towards 4:56 instead of 4:88s so I can keep a ill more top end and freeway mpg
After. Ran 3.55's with the 35's and the 4.0, and it sucked. Did the gears, and man, it was like a new jeep. Then did the stroker, and holy cow, what a difference.
What I have: 1997 Country, stock, 192xxx miles, D30/C8.25 with 3.55 gears, 225/75/15 Kumho Road Venture A/Ts, Safari roof rack, aftermarket header and homade subwoofer autotuba box. Use to actually haul *** pretty well until the cat started dying. Champion gas guzzler. Never actually legitimately wheeled it yet, just a small trail I found.
What I have and yet to do: 3.5" Rubicon Express Super-Ride w/Bilstein 5100s sitting in the garage, RE adj. Trac bar, still saving up for 32x11.5x15 Goodyear Wrangler MT/Z Kevlar, 15x8 circle window steelies, 50" LED light bar w/ FarmerJohnsons bracket and 4 LED pod lights.
Plans for the future: Rear disk swap/possibly 8.8 rear, rear tire carrier, new exhaust, TruckLite LEDs, recovery points, front bumper, Aresfab rock sliders, SYE, better sound system, doorless mod, cowel intake. Ect.
