Hey I'm working on a build and I was thinking about getting this http://www.dashzracing.com/79-01-Jee...hts-Black.html .... So after googleing my fingers off I found some people say they are legal and others saying they aren't . I wasn't planing on running blue bulbs or anything and I know the black effects light out put. I live in the thumb of Michigan and travel to Canada once a month or so. Any help would be great!

I was just going to stick to 3000K or 4300k because I read that in Michigan they can't be over that, basicly yellow or white... Sadly I see purple and blue all the time.

All I know is, Black housings suck at actually lighting. I had some black housings with HIDs and couldnt see a thing. I now run clear Hella housings with HIDs, and can see everything!!!

I know they look cool, but they arent very safe.

I have had these, but I went to the chrome version. As for the dead spots, You have to hook up the light and manually hold it to a garage door to see where the light is directed by the center glass eye. You have to carefully pull out the HID and tweak the lens that is sitting on the two thin metal tabs.

If you do not do this, your light output will be in any direction BUT straight forward. Remember it came from China. They made thousands in a single day, and they dont care how the light works.
