Default law question

Ok well first off I live in GA. And I was calling to cancel my insurance on my jeep because I now have a new dd and was goin to just use the jeep as a toy. And the insurance company told me I couldn't own a car and not insure it, due to the "law". Is this complete bs

Yeah, that's horse poo...you can own still own it but you can't drive it on the road, highway, city streets, etc., but you can drive it on your own property, if you have room to do so. Here in Massachusetts once you cancel insurance you have to turn in your plates, thereby making it illegal to operate a motor vehicle without tags/registration. Probably doesn't help much where you are.
Good luck.

just put it under fire/flood/general damage at $5 a month until you need it. activate it that week[end] then put it back under fire/flood/general damage. due to it being "fixed"

i know a few ppl who do that with their wheelers (street legal buggies)

Just a few words of caution I know some offroad parks REQUIRE current registration/Insurance . I know our events here do

Oh well I'm only 17 so I feel like that would still be pricy for only driving it 1 or 2 times a month

dont know your states laws, but here in colorado, we just have to get an ohv (offhighway vehicle) sticker on ours to be legal on the trail.

its just like registering a dirtbike, fourwheeler, or rhino.....just cant drive it on the roads.

luckily, our laws are pretty relaxed on wheelin rigs. some of my friends drive thier buggies on the street (registerered, plated, and insured) and i plan on driving mine to and from trails when its done. screw a tow rig!! more money for the jeep!!
