and :42
mostly sounds like its coming from the front part of the motor, like most audible right in front of radiator ?

Yikes,!9$ well build a 4.7 and I suggest getting a auto stethoscope to pinpoint the noise.

 

Alright thanks.... But it idles smoother then my old 1999 Cherokee which had 50k less miles ??

 

Is it an engine knock or is it something like the fan clutch or another accessory making a noise? I cant really tell from that video to well but the one that you posted sounded more like something was grinding rather than a hard knocking. If it idles really smooth then there is a possibility that nothing is wrong in the engine? idk just spit-balling here

 

That's what I had someone else tell me, I just freak out if I hear a noise like that because my parents are import only type people and didn't like that I bought another Jeep, they think a lot of American cars are okay but would never owned one, and some are poorly engineered. My dad cut his thumb a 2 inch gash somehow on the rear cup holder of a $50k 2011 Cadillac DTS, and there is gaping panel gap between headliner and a pillar panel. I think GM had the poorest quality products of the Big 3 prior to 2000 then Chrysler then Ford then AMC designed Jeeps.

 

So if it is engine knock it wouldn't idle smooth ?

 

Was the radiator fan on when you made the video?

 

Check the torque converter bolts.
