My dad parked his '88 Cherokee about 7yrs ago. It ran when parked (need rear brakes and had vacuum leak). He has reached an age where he doesnt care what happens to it. I hate to let it go but already have a car project. Its been FL kept and only serviced by Jeep. However, it has developed rust patches from sitting. I dont know the Jeep world. Is that yr/model worth anything to a collector/enthusiast? Just give it away?
If you don't want to go through the work to part it out, then sell it outright. You don't need to give it away. Someone will buy it for a project or for parts for theirs.
I'm kinda looking for something like this, but the newer body style ('97-00 or so). I would get the parts I need off it and then part it out for others to get parts they need. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a grand for it. Maybe more if you get it running.
