Just picked up my 3rd one, its a 93 country, 160k miles. Loaded, interior is near mint. Some rust on the rockers and the bottom of the back doors. The po was driving home and said a brake line broke (although the reservoir is still full, im not a brake expert so that kinda confused me).The pulleys squeel a bit from sitting (on pavement, not grass). But overall its beautiful, and the best part, I only paid $500.

Thanks! I got real lucky finding it too, he posted an ad on craigslist, and I saw it within an hour, and the guy lived 5 minutes away in the same town.

 

good lookin xj, cant beat 500 bucks!!! ...i wont be far behind you with my 3rd. Sold my 2nd xj to buy my current car....soon as i can im comin back to the xjs.

 

That was my thought! I felt the same, I hated being without one

 

Guess that was a false alarm, I was gonna call the guy, and he told me he scrapped it before I come pick it up.
