We're all wheelers here. I have a Bronco 2 that rides with me. I've pulled him out many of times but you know what, he's had to do the same for me too. But if we insist on bashing.... should have seen this kid launch his JK at Jeep Beach. Every other Jeep made it up that hill. When he couldn't, he backed up and got a running start. Jeep went airbourne, came down and busted his steering box, bumpstops, oil pan and motor mounts. Now there's an irrisponsible idiot.

Ok ill chime in, I've wheeled for many years, owned many xjs, and been around offroading since I was very young, in my world there are a lot of wrangler guys that are strait up jackholes! I'll wave to anything I see that's trail worthy, and 99% or wrangler owners have their heads up their butts and don't wave back, same way on the trail, ill pass someone driver to driver and wave and the wrangler guys don't wave back, so my opinion of most of them is not good. If I see one of those a holes stuck ill drive on past. Respect me and ill respect you.

You know, "That's a sweet box" seems to be a bad thing, as stated in the OP. I mean I've been slapped countless times when I say it to women.....

And agreed that wheeling is a sport that should be enjoyed by all and should be free of judgement, regardless of what kind of car you have (unless of course the car is unsafely built and puts your/or other lives in danger). My best friend drives an '86 4 Runner and it's a bad *** rig. And I'm proud to say that.

Ok, ok. I have tried over and over again to steer him in the right direction. He won't listen. He's got some other guy he works with that's influencing him. Guys that just want to throw parts at trucks are the ones that keep automakers in business. Also, it's where guys that want to build with an intelligent plan to how they want to wheel can find a sweet deal on a Jeep that some "douche" threw parts a few years down the road when the said douche is tired of it.

No, I don't lick fish.
While I don't agree with everything the OP mentioned. I'd like to weigh in here.
I worked with someone who had a TJ that had no lift and 31's. I would BEG her to take the thing wheeling. No no, then she would have to wash it. Always bragged about how she was a "jeep girl" - had a YJ, 3 TJ's, and a 4dr JK... never took a single one of them off road. Then, because she wanted the COLOR Red Rock, she traded her TJ for a built JK 2dr in Red Rock... thing had a 2" budget boost with 33" MT Baja's on 17" MT Sidebiters... when I saw the thing, I felt sorry for it... a trail-capable jeep that will never again see anything but the blacktop.
A lot of JK owners never take their jeeps off road - but you wanna know what I've noticed? A lot of XJ owners never take theirs off road either. I have noticed a trend of people buying 4 door JKs because they're trendy or because they want a H3 with a removable top. Doesn't mean ALL JK owners are douches. I have noticed a lot of XJ owners who bought theirs because it is affordable, versitile, and hold whatever they have to cart around... doesn't mean all XJ owners are douhces either.
I met cool people driving wanglers, yota's, s10's, and full size rigs - around here, the guys that I wheel with don't care about what you're driving - just wanna go have fun out in the woods. If you act arrogant and like you're all that, we just hang back and wait for you to make a fool of yourself.
Sounds like your neighbor is a it of a herb, but give him a chance and show him what's what... he may turn out to be pretty cool.

Who the f cares...........can we get back to making suspension parts and roof racks from PVC, spray painting our Jeeps, and making them look like a rolling billboard for J.C Whitney.
