you couldn't pay me to take an Escape. Unless you are under 5'6" you won't fit in one and everything about them is terrible

Yeah but a dirt cheap Escape, fixed and resold to a 5'6" tall person brings the cash.

Can you say got that bankroll? Take the front seats out and sit in the back seats like Hightower on Police Academy. Problem solved.

And this is based on??? The '02 my wife has has been great. I'm 5'10" and fit in it fine. There's plenty of room for me, her, the baby, 2 dogs, and all our stuff for a week long vacation. And I can still see out the back window. The only things I've had to do that might be considered "big" repairs were a bad coil pack and the manifold/valve cover gasket needing replaced. I'd say that's pretty good for a vehicle with 140k on it, especially when I can do it all myself.

Sorry, just saw I put head gasket. manifold/valve cover gasket (edited previous post). It had a small leak in it so I replaced it. It's wasn't completely shot. I just hate having oil leaks, no matter how small. Heck, most of our XJ's need a new valve cover gasket before 150k (mine's still good at 165k) yet we just say, "It's part of having a 4.0.". Besides, it's not a hard job on the escape 3.0's. Took me maybe an hour and a half. Just pointing out that an Escape isn't really a "bad" vehicle. They're not great, but they're not bad. And not every Escape, or Jeep for that matter, get's treated the same, so every owner is gonna have a different opinion on it. Just stating my .02

New Challenge: Picture of your jeep doing a stoppie. (front wheels touching the ground, rear wheels off the ground) And if your gonna cheat to do it (jack stands) then you have to have the current date in the picture.
