is it just me or does it bother anyone else when someone in a stock jeep (not cherokee or wrangler) gives you a jeep wave? the other day I was driving and a kid in a bone stock jeep compass tried giving me the jeep wave. is it bad that I wanted to flip him off? lol I didn't wave back, would you? anyone else have jeep wave stories?? share!!

I don't wave... My steering is so bad, if I even as much as take one hand off just to wave, I probably would die in a fiery crash lol.

if it says jeep on it and they wave ill wave back. i wave at only moddified jeeps with i wave first

I think I probably would start waving after my steering is all good.

x2, I also wouldn't hesitate to pull a Compass or Patriot out if they were stuck.

I have no problem pullin anyone out if they're stuck whether it be a jeep a Chevy a ford idc bout that I just found it funny he gave me the wave

very few wranglers wave at me.. but one did, and flagged me down and procedded to have an hour conversation with me about why i chose an xj over a yj

Lol...I got my very first Jeep wave the other day from a stock JK. My XJ is stock except for my front bumper and winch.

I don't feel worthy of doing the wave if I'm not even lifted, personally. But if they wave, I'll wave back.

more like i convinced him to go get an xj. those yjs are cool an all. but they have no cargo space. or leg room

I would stick my arm out the window an wave but my hand keeps hitting the glass.

I've only gotten 2 wranglers to wave to me

i have had a lot of lifted and modded xjs and grands wave at me, one stock jk wave, and a guy with a lifted wagoneer lean out his window and yell "yeahhhh jeep man!" lol

On the YJ 4.5 lift on 33's all armor I get waves from every wrangler I pass. On the xj wich is built pretty good too I never get waves from wranglers, only other built xj's. Its like wrangler guys dont like xj's and vice versa. Im all about that peace so I wave at anything that looks trail worthy and if a kid in a jeep compass waved at me hell id wave back im not a douche.

When I lived in the country and the mountains of Colorado everybody waved at each other. No matter what they were driving. No Jeep only nonsense. Just people being friendly.:dunno:

I just started "Jeep waving" at people. Hardly anyone waves back.

Jk's don't wave back, so I give them the "L" wave....they don't know is that it means loser haha

Yea, now that we are back in the big city people are not so friendly.

I'll wave at other jeeps but almost never get a wave back. I usually wave at Cherokees and Wranglers. One lifted cherokee waved at me near a junkyard. My buddy's dad has a wrangler and he'll wave at me. One grand cherokee waved, caught me really off guard.

However, when I drove my day's wrangler, everyone waved at me. Maybe cause it was doorless....

I wave at every Jeep I see, and I've only gotten two waves back. One was a stock JK with a soccer mom driving it. She frantically waved at me. I'm not sure if it were the Jeep wave or if it were her confusing me with someone else. The other Jeep wave I got was when I was leaving the local wheeling spot. It was about 8 PM and a guy was heading in in a stock WJ, and he was wearing a tuxedo. Of all the other Jeeps I've seen, including lifted ones, I haven't gotten waves back. Hopefully, when I lift it this weekend, that will change. :D

Update: a lifted XJ waved at me in town today. He had a 21 slot grill.

I take it you don't have the friendliest neighbors around, a lot of thugs & FSA types? Doesn't sound like somewhere I would want to live. I can't see dissing anyone for be cordial, to each their own.

I use to wave at all modded Jeeps but hardly ever got a wave back. Now, I only wave at modded XJ's or wrongler drivers that I know. Only a couple of modded XJ's in my area, all other XJ's are stock mom and pop Jeeps. Most of the wrongler drivers in my area are a little stuck up and on the yuppie side. Status symbols that will never see a gravel road, much less mud.

i only wave to modded xj's.... everything else is just a waist of time it seems like

I did the jeep wave when i first got the XJ, but no one waves back.
But offroad and everyone waves.
Now i wave and give the thumbs down to people that have chrome wheels on there offroad jeep rig. LOL

Well what do u know, this thread inspired me to better myself, so I decided to wave at jeeps now, and the first jeep I saw was a JK, so I waved, and the guy driving it turned his head to me and spat on my xj. Whoa. Talk about extreme hatred.

There's so many XJ's and especially grands around here, you'd be waving every 3 minutes

Don't even sweat it I bet his jk was a driveway queen that's never been off pavement. a guy in a wrangler one time tell me my xj wasn't a real Jeep lol I just laughed.

Yeah Irish he saw me laughing at him. It wasn't even lifted or anything, it was all stock, how did he think his was better than mine? Lol

He probably didn't even know about the Jeep wave and has a bad attitude.
