Jeep Free
I just sold the Money Pit, AKA: 97 Cherokee
First I would like to say this board and its members have been great, you all have been very friendly and helpful.
That being said, to make a long story short, I will Never own another
Jeep of any kind again, this was my third Cherokee and all were a mistake
Time for a full size 4X4 Dodge Truck

You drink our wine. You sleep with our wives. You raid our refrigerators and pee in our pool. And then you say JEEP IS A MISTAKE?!?!?!????? Have you lost your mind?!?? Not cool, man. Not cool.
And the way I see it, the cost of repairs is worth the money. It's like building a brand new Jeep over time.

I and my roommate have had 10+ jeeps TJs, XJs WJs and ZJs and KJs all 4.0s except for one 2.5 TJ and KJs with 3.7 all 60k-256k and all have been more/equally as reliable as anything else ever owned.
All vehicles need work at some point and the parts needed are easy to come by, easy to install/work on yourself (especially the XJ and 4.0s nice and simple!) and cheap, so I do not mind spending the money to make it last.

A Dodge full size aint gonna be any cheaper to keep on the road. You will have the same problems and pay even more in fueling costs. You want cheap and reliable, buy a Kia. You want rugged and as tough as nails, you buy a Cherokee.
