Take the flares off. Tape off how far up you want the flares to be cut. Then go to town with a sawzall or a jigsaw. Or whatever type of saw your comfortable cutting your fenders with.

I dont think 33's will fit with out cutting but I could be wrong. cut slow and take your time. mark out your line and remember you can always cut more but you cant put it back on.

If you don't trim the fenders at all, you won't be able to turn the wheel at all, I had that on my 4.5" so your 3" will only be worse. If you have to trim anyway, trim enough that you can get the full uptravel of the shock before rubbing the fender. No sense in cutting just enough and then bumpstopping for like 2" of uptravel.

2" is plenty of uptravel if your shocks are such a length that they would max at 2.5" or so. however, if you can get 3"-4" of travel out of those shocks, trim accordingly. if youre already cutting the fenders, dont sell your suspension short, cut enough that you can use all of the lift that you paid for
