Jeep Death Wobble on XJ?

Jeep Death Wobble on XJ?

I have a 92 XJ with 100k miles I have had for a month, new 235/70 tires
rides smooth with no vibration, a couple of times in the last week, around 45 mph the vehicle starts shimmying after minor road bumps, so bad both times It was all I could do to get it slowed down enough to regain control. Scared the heck out of me I have owned CJ's, TJ's, WJ's and have never experienced this before, any ideas?

Thanks! that gives me several things to look at, I know its something in the front end but I really didn't think about the shocks. I have lived through 5 Jeep rollovers ( including 1 end-over-end followed by 3 barrel rolls) but but that was a long time ago and I don't heal as quick as I used to!
