These are trim and equipment option models - engine is the very same with two 4WD tranny choices. I'm running a manual tranny model which should hold up a little longer but that depends a lot on you and what you're going to do with it..

Limited is basically the "luxury" version, I guess you could say. Comes with full leather, faux wood trim, skid plates and hooks, power everything (not always good for an xj, my windows are still f-ed) mine came with the "up-country" lift. Which is like an inch or two over the sport. Heated seats, basically a whole whack of bells and whistles.
But like jomps said. Don't be seduced by the fanciness, go with somethin thats sound and in decent shape. Because more likely then not those options may not work.

That's Late model Limiteds ('97+). Early models like mine never had heated seats or wood trim. And mine had no hooks either, but pretty much everything else (for those years).

Whatever you can find in good condition, man. I got my 92 Limited for 1k in great condition, all the power stuff still working perfectly, but I think I'm lucky in that aspect. Just make sure it's 4WD, of course
