It's a Jeep thing when you haven't even driven yours in 8 months and you still say "let's get in the Jeep" "I'll go get the Jeep" "it's in the Jeep" etc

It's a jeep thing when you are selling parts of a 97 XJ and you meet some pretty cool people. Both young and old!! I had more fun talking to the folks than I did taking their money!

It's a Jeep thing when the guy at the parts counter asks, "So what year part do you need for your Jeep today?"

Thats what happens almost everytime I go to buy jeep stuff from craigslist. We sit and talk jeeps for like 30 minutes before ever mentioning money or the actual part I'm buying haha

That is is guys.. I had a young man, I am guessing maybe 13/15 year old range show up to buy the headlight switch and hood. It was raining that day so I figured he wouldn't show. Well he came up with his grandfather driving an S-10. I walked out and the little fellow was nervous as all get out.

Once I met them I said son, you can take the hood and the switch for $20. He said "are you for real"? I just looked at him and said "anyone that would show up in the rain with his grandfather is a jeep man for sure"! He smiled and so did his grandfather. Then he asked "would you happen to have some tools"? So I grabbed the tool kit out of the XJ and let him go at it. I enjoy seeing and helping people that I meet along the jeep path!

It's a jeep thing when you roll in your garage. Get ou of the car and your wife throws her door open banging it into the old Dana 35 axle sitting on jack stands. She looks at you and says "when are you going to get this axle out of here"!! I swear she has done that at least 10 times now. You would think she would remember it's there!

It's also a Jeep thing when you can't even GIVE AWAY a Dana 35!!

Great story, I love it.

IAJTW your wife goes for her first ride in your new(er) XJ, and the first words she says are "oh, this one makes that noise too...."

IAJTW when it literally makes you angry to hear someone refer to a Suzuki Samurai, a Chevy Blazer or a Ford Explorer as a "jeep."

its a jeep thing when you're selling a wrangler, and the guy who your friend bought his wrangler from shows up just to look at it.(guy tried to sell me the same junk winch for 600 dollars that my friend declined to buy with his jeep haha) then spends a half hour looking at your xj and talking about the lift that is about to go in it.

It's a jeep thing when sitting in a Sheets parking lot and you see a woman dragging a little boy by one arm across the parking lot. He says "look mom, it's a Army Jeep"! She keeps pulling him along saying "I see it son, I see it". Then she pulls her cell phone out with the other hand and snaps a picture of my XJ!

I waved at the little man and went on my way!! Yea, that's what it's all about right there for me!!
