When your jeep is always breaking but you still love it

 

iajtw you spend all your money on mods and realize you didnt save enough for tags and insurance.
iajtw your a mechanic and you look over stockers at work and see spare parts.
iajtw you work on a lifted jeep at work and see things you would have done different, but admire the time and effort.
iajtw a built jeep comes into the shop and you can immediatly tell its never even seen a dirt road.

 

When your high beams are your dimmest set of lights.

 

IAJTW you chop the top and it snows on you 3 days later.

 

Mine says its and XJ thing.

 

 

You sell parts you no longer want or need to buy more parts and accessories.

 

Yup!!

 

My cowl intake is louder than my exhaust. and people hear my swampers coming down the road almost a mile away

When one of your headlights burns out and you spend $420 on a set of trucklites. just a slight upgrade, from the worst headlights ever to one of the best. My high beams shine almost a mile

 

When you keep your mouth closed because bugs keep hitting you in the face without doors

When you can flop it and jump it and still make it your dd

When you aren't worried about somebody stealing it because they won't know how to control the steering, the sputters, and other issues we know how to during our trips to the "grocery store"

 

*Cough* I was promised +5 HP if I put it on.

You know its a jeep thing when you get a Jeep, girlfriend falls in love with it, then trades in her 2011 lease to buy a 13 year old XJ!

 

When after your friend spends a couple hundred bucks fixing his hydrolocked ranger that he sunk in a pond you spent all day in, he says, I'm going to retire this to dd duties and buy a jeep.

Holding back the smile was almost painful. But hey, noone in our group has outwheeled my stock height 31" tire 4cyl unless its a mudpit.
