So I failed inspection on my XJ because the tires I have on it are dry rotted, so I figured I'll take a quick look at Tirerack.com before going to sears and picking up a set for $70 + all the extras. I ended up finding a set for $285 shipped, I was expecting these:

Instead I got these (2 tires side by side):

I called up tirerack.com and was told by one person there was nothing they would do except sell me the KL61's, in the previous pic, for $33 more each, finding that not acceptable I asked for her supervisor... The tread is significantly different, and I live in snow country, with the XJ I can make the tires sent work (ST KL16's), But should I have to? The tires sent match the description, as they are the Kumho ST KL16's but Tirerack.com had photos of the SAT KL61's posted, and a price of $58 dollars, I was expecting the SAT KL 61 tread... Am I wrong for being angry and feeling like I was mislead? What should I expect from them? Should I try for the Kumho SAT KL61's, snow is coming on Thursday? And they're calling back on Monday, I still need to have them mounted and balanced.

If that is indeed the picture they showed and they did not say it wasn't the right picture right on the site then it's definitely bait/switch, which is very illegal.

i would take them back and demand your money back. you hav a discount tire around there? you can order what you want if they dont hav iit in stock and they offer free repairs too and price match. i bought my general grabber at2's from there and my car tires from there. at2's were 115 each, car tires less then that back in early 07.
