I am also sorry for blowing up the thread.. I like everything I've gotten from IRO and dont think they deserve all the **** they get. I'll admit that the 10mm bolt scares me a bit as does 3 holding up each side (fixed). Castor adjustor works great. Haha every thread about them ends up like this and what kind of forum would it be if people like Atmos did not voice their concerns about a product. That is what makes these places great

It's not the materials. it's the design. fixed lower arms (I assume they use the same ones for all their lift heights?), fixed johnnies, and that dumb caster adjuster. It looks like a cheap kit with a lot of short cuts taken.
and @NoRDpLZ. wristed fixed y-link, whatever you wanna call it. IRO is the only one that I've seen run that setup. it's not your average functional radius arm setup so I have to make a distinction. edited previous post for clarity

And Atmos, I got what you're saying now. Thought you were making a distinction between a y-link and radius arm.
OP, bottom line is this: no matter who you talk to we're all going to have our opinions based on our own research. Some are gonna tell you that a RC lift is fine, others will say RE, Rusty's, RK, Clayton, Serious, BDS, IRO...you get the point. Do your research on multiple forums and in person with fellow jeepers that have different kits and find what you like for your style of wheeling. If you want to go cheaper, that's totally up to you. I started with a Rusty's 3" and upgraded to RK's LA's with RE coils. It all depends on what you feel comfortable buying. Yes, some of what is said is true - RE doesn't have the best joints, RC is cheap for a reason, Clayton and RK are pricier for a reason, etc. But again, get you feel is best for you. Unfortunately these threads almost always turn into a "This is the best lift" argument in the replies.
With that said, like I said before, IRO's kits aren't bad, but they're not top tier IMO. But for what you're describing as your wheeling style, it'll do just fine. Just know what you're getting and how it's going to operate (both on the road and on the trails) before shelling out cash. As the others said, sorry for blowing up the thread. Not the intention, but like I said earlier, it tends to happen on these types of threads.

thanks guys. im new to jeeps this is my first one ive owned. im used to more trucks fords chevys dodges. which all lifts are pretty much the same with them. but with jeeps there is an endless number of possibiliaties to do. i guess people are right when they say what J.E.E.P stands for. Just Empty Every Pocket.

Seriously though, a lot of us are pretty passionate about our Jeeps and all teh crap we've put on 'em. Every kit is going to have it's own pros and cons. You just gotta decide if the balance between the two is worth the money (and time if you're fabbing it yourself).
