Okay so I was involved in a hit and run. My driver side front half was hit hard by Silverado. The Jeep was able to drive home no leaking of oil or radiator fluid. It did not overheat or drive funny. The subframe was hit bad lower control arm bracket on axle was bent bad and the air box in computer show into the master cylinder. From the picture I was curious if you think that it will be totaled out. It's a 2000 with only 100,000 miles.

Might get lucky with the mileage if the frame is ok. Even if they total it I'd buy it back and fix it if the unibody is ok. Everything from the windshield forward is bolt on anyway.

You'll have to get a salvage title or something similar as well. Most insurance companies will only give you basic coverage on it with one. Spend the few bucks to get it back and turn it into a trail rig and spend the leftover insurance money on something to tow it with.

Dont let these fools fool you. When i totaled my xj, i had full coverage, they wrote me check for 3 grand. I had a 97 with 234k miles. just all depends on what they are selling for in your area at the time, doesnt necissarily go by blue book.

The inc company may only take the 300 most salvage yards give them for it. If you keep it check here the unibody comes into the firewall (both sides), they like to crack there anyway. If the rest is straight you may be able to save the whole thing not just the kidney.
