How did you do the seat? Looks fantastic!
The most I have done with my interior is highlights ... it's on its second color change and next summer will be on its third to include the headliner. I started out with the tan Limited interior (no wood grain):
What I really want is a black interior like my old '86. I miss it.

ha actually this was my 87 xj i bougjt it new in nov ,of 86 i had to 2 wait like 6 weeks or somthing for delivery.. charcol grey metallic .. black interior seats that reclined and rocked..
i luved that jeep ,
my new seats are the original 95 country's, im in the heating business. i put in a furnace for a buddy who is an upholsterer.. so i got a deal.. i paid for materials, his labour was free.. the 2 front seats cost me 96 dollars for both, my rear seats will be made to look the same but just seat covers. i dont expect the rear will cost me any more than 80 bucks.. the flat black is a top quality marine grade vinyll and the camo is like the material you would find on a back pack or duffle bag its pretty heavy duty stuff so i think it should last.. and cleaning the mud off should be ok...

Sweet! Thanks .
Did you guys take the whole dash out to paint it? How hard/ long does it take to take it out?
That's cool man. I bet their is nobody else on the entire site that has owned their xj since the day off the lot.
-------------------------------------
Now that i ponder on the idea i think to myself, "do i even waste my money and time on this?"
The jeep will not be my daily driver pretty soon. So i think i will just re-upholster the seats, do the headliner, and put my main money into the suspension and exterior looks rather than interior.
In any event this thread will be a great reference for anyone looking for pictures and all that in the future.

no the dash itself is too much work to pull i painted it in place, the woodgrain guage surround i pulled out though

Well my Jeep is not my DD and I still take care of it. Still wash & detail inside & out. She'll appreciate it & last longer. In a few weeks I'll be doing the headliner to match my Wet Okole seat covers (since I can't sell them).

Im not sure what the plan is yet. I'll probably slowly end up doing the interior but i rather throw the money into some lockers, shocks, long arm kit.....etc...

All that's done ... lifted locked, armored, blah, blah ... I guess it's all about priorities and personal taste. And necessity. I'm tired of wearing my headliner like a hat

Just started mine yesterday. Pulled the pieces out, sanded the hell outta them and rattle canned em. I'm not sure how to finish it though.
Can I pull the rest of the dash out or just tape **** off and go?

X2. i'm also in the process of redoing my interior, and i'm going with black and red. i've only got some small bits done, and just trying to figure time to finish the rest between work, school, and crappy weather so i can spray outside.
