Interest in full, grade 8 XJ hardware kits?
Hey guys, I am considering marketing complete hardware kits on here for our cherokees.
After seeing companies charge $40 for just a handful of front bumper bolts, I decided to piece together my own kits. They would be very reasonably priced, and come with every single bolt you can possibly think of underneath your cherokee.
Suspension, steering, etc. Front bumper, rear bumper, control arms, leaf springs, shackles, shocks, EVERYTHING would be included in this grade 8 hardware package.
If I do end up posting some for sale, do you guys think it would be of interest to anyone?

i like the idea of it. when i work on stuff at this point i count on replacing whatever bolt(s) i remove. id be leary of bolt accuracy, but thats the natural skeptic in me.

Bolt accuracy and fit was definitely the main concern I had when assembling these kits. However I own a 2000 XJ and would test every bolt and nut personally to ensure proper fitment.

Well it depends for me.... I'm sure your going to have a markup to make a little profit correct? Plus shipping. Is it worth the extra money instead of me going to the store to get what I need? Possibly........i will vote tbd by price haha

I have access to hardware cheaper than 95% of people on here, and the markup would be minimal. You're right about the shipping though- I will have to weigh everything up and calculate a final price.

USPS Flat rate box - If it fits it ships! Weight or location does not matter. Always the same price and 2-3 day transit.

Those flat rate boxes are probably the only thing keeping the post office open anymore. But back on topic if you start small like leaf spring bolts or all bolts you remove to go a lift might be good options then have bigger kits,But are these american made bolts or that cheap china junk that says grade 8 and i can snap with a ratchet and hands lol

yeah the kits would be better. Most people get new bolts when replacing a part or parts come with new hard ware sometimes to. So a matter l master kit would not be beneficial to those people.

I think a master kit is a good idea. for someone tackling a major rebuild some of those bolts could be life savers.
but as said above I think smaller kits are the way to start out. the leaf spring bolt kits are a great idea. I would buy a set. another kit could be front control arm hardware. shock hardware. maybe even diff cover bolts. ive seen some super nasty half rusted away diff cover bolts before
