With the heater core and all the AC issues addressed you should be good to go, if not I'm at a loss as you have covered most all the base's.

Good luck on your deer hunt also, I plan on shooting mine off of my rear deck while drinking coffee and sitting in a cushioned chair.

Glad to hear that everything went smoothly!

With that all patched up, the only other things that can cause fogging of the windows are poor door seals, windshield leaks, and water on the floor under the carpet. It's very common on rainy days too.

You won't regret having done the heater core and evaporator. They're prone to fail at some point, and now you have peace of mind for years to come .

Thanks guys! It's back in service now and so far all seems good. No more fogging!! I like the chair and coffee hunting idea too. Thanks to all for the great input! It's nice having the knowledge of those who have had this issue. That's what makes this forum. Thanks again!!!

Ok, she's good to go as far as I can tell. About 300 miles since the fix. $650 later and all is good. Thanks again for the helpful advice.

Default Fogging solved

The condensation drain hose is absent. I had to drill a hole in the little radiator under the glove box.Antifreeze drained out,and the fogging has stopped

If you drilled into what looks like a radiator that's your heater core. Not good.

What size drill bit please. I don't want to drill too big a hole in my heater core, might let the heat out.

1/8" , that way u can tap for 8-32 if you want to seal the system back up. The fog will come back though.

The fogging that severe is telling you the heater core is going out,not a cheap or easy replacement job,but need to drive until you can get it to the shop.So drilling into it is the easy temp fix we thought anyway the fog didn't completely stop and anti freeze is steadily dripping so I put stop leak in ordered a heater core from autorock for $35,and get it installed idk where at yet.

^ Can remove heater core from the cooling system loop until you are able to fix it. Just connect the two heater hoses together, no more fogging, no more dripping (and no more heat).
Depending on what model jeep you have, AC system may have to be discharged to replace heater core.
The condensation drain hose exits the firewall in engine bay.
Stop-Leak can clog passages in radiator and/or engine block.

I have ordered the heater core, research on the repairs and I don't have the knowledge and skills that takes so called a few shops, it's going to be around$700-800 to repair. the heater core at Rock Auto was less than $40.

That actually doesn't sound unreasonable. Most shops will bill 8 to 10 hours for that job.
