I found a 4WD XJ same year as my 2WD for $1000 in the same city I work but could not get in contact with the seller. The ad said it runs but needs a oil pan gasket. After 2 days it was sold

 

The owner was probably flooded with calls or emails from potential buyers and simply stopped replying after gathering a long list of standbys.
I'm surprised it took 2 days.

 

Sometimes you have to call the sec the add goes up or your out of luck.

 

That happened with a lot of XJ's I wanted to look at before I found the one I have now. Luckily when I saw the ad it had just been posted 10 minutes prior. Immediately called them and went to look at it. Ended up coming down from $1750 to $1500 and he held it for a week while I got the finances in order. Sometimes it takes patience and some luck. I looked for 3 weeks before I found one worth while and was able to take a look.
