I just realized this monstrosity is from my home state. I am now finally proud to have moved. I say we ban together Travel to Birmingham Alabama and search and destroy the fiberglass blasphemy before people mistaken this person for one of us... then we find out who did this and make D**N sure they never try it again!!!
So I finally got around to reading the article ( http://blog.al.com/engine-block/2009...rokee_tes.html ). And whoever wrote it makes a good point: "I respect the effort put into vehicles like these. I say build it, enjoy it and keep the custom car art alive." So I got to thinking, and yeah its your car, you should do what you want with it to make it look good to you. But how could anyone think this looks, even someone who likes "pimped" cars.
The craftsmanship, if you can even say there was any, is shotty at best.

The gaps around the hatch arn't even close, much less parallel.

It continues...

The person didn't even tape off the antenna before painting it. I use $2 cans of spray paint on my Jeep but at least I take a little pride in how the final product looks even if I can't afford the best materials.
What upsets me isn't that someone put a testarossa body kit on an XJ, its that they did such a $hitty job doing it.
