Im not going to start a diesel argument but higher compression pistons isnt going to make you any more power in one either. hell, we lower it to prevent pre-ignition in the real high horsepower stuff because of all the fuel, which is what makes the power.
hood to see you look at the 6.5L seeing how stock is 21.3:1. the reason i recommended that motor and that piston combo is because it has been proven in alot of applications. they also make 400HP more reliably than a 4BT does.

ah, ok makes sense. diddnt mean to jump on that.
ive never seen a 6.5 Ive been impressed with but i havent looked too hard. I am admitedly a Cummins guy so I am biased lol

i don't blame you at all stock they are complete garbage but they pretty much give the motors away now and they pretty cheap to build. to cut prices some more you could probably dish the pistons to drop compression a few points. i don't know if there is enough piston to dish down to 18.1:1 though

What axles do you plan on running Dana 60s? I'd stay with the jeep inline motor do the 60s and 4.10 of 4.56 that will help your tq ont

just use the stock D30 and D35 they are both good to 400+ HP and 38"-44" tires, open open of course.

and thats with stock shafts, man throw in some alloys and ctm's and them axles are good for 800HP+ and 56"s
