I have to disagree.. You want whatever you are painting to be warm as well. For best results have the rims in a shop set to around 70-75* overnight and maintain that temp until they're ready to installed again. This is how all the paintwork is done at my dads auto body shop, he has done many cars(mainly classics) that are 10k+ paint jobs. Just my .02 cents but I would do this for the best results

I wasn't trying to disagree, I just want him to have best results! I'm glad your method worked well!

I got a buddy that's gunna be doin it for me, he does it on the side durin the summer for extra cash, but he says he wants it to be at least in the 60s before we touch it. Right now it's 12 outside but feels like -2 lol so it won't be happenin for a little bit, plus gives me time to see if I can find a nice set of turbines or aluminum slots, if I find those (the slots) then I won't be plasti dippin Anythin! Lol

You could consider brass wire wheel and some clear coat. We have three jeeps in the current fleet so summer and winter rubber on a variety of jeep rims.
Turbines are still my favourite. I usually give the rims a clean up each spring and touch up the rough parts.

Well I found me different wheels! Goin to be gettin a set of 15x7.5 aluminum slots! I put one on my jeep yesterday and liked the way it looked a lot better! So next question, would running 215/75s on the 7.5s be okay? From what I've seen online, that tire has a recommended wheel width if 7'. Would that extra .5' matter?

215's are fine on a 7" wide wheel. My XJ had 215's its whole life on 15x7's. I'm not sure if 7.5" would be pushing the limits or not. I'm on 235's now anyway.

I figured it out hahaha the 7.5s I'm gettin are my old wheels. And when I sold them I had 215s on them and they where fine. I talked to my buddy that has them and they still have the 215s I sold them with hahahhaha
