Depends on your skill level and tube prices in your area. 1.75 .25 wall HREW is $44 a stick here and you'd need at least 5 or 6. Double that for DOM.

Looks like ***. Never been a fan of them and here in the PNW they get caught up on trees stumps because of our tight trails

what are you talking about cages are badd when done right
plenty of rocks out here in the sun state to warrant a cage

So he should worry about axles before safety components?

Reread what I said. Didnt say cages are bad when done right. This pic looks half way decent. The OP version sucks ***

Some build these ugly *** exo's because they think they look cool. They lack triangulation and if used can cause huge safety issues. So yes I seriously doubt OP will use a cage for whats its intended use is. Build some axles first gots my vote

So a exo tied into the frame is going to cause more harm than what would happen if you rolled and your sheet metal roof caves in on you?

you're not a fan of them. I replied and disagreed saying that cages look bad(***) when done right (implying that they are useful as well)
and there are way more rocks out and around CA so a cage is a good call.
I read you loud and clear dont worry. ditch the hate man the OP's just looks like a rough idea anyway

i like exo cages. mine will have one hopefully soon too.
i don't need one inside, i don't plan on anything more than a flop, so a high speed cage isn't necessary. besides, i want all the room i can get inside.

hey rockrash, if that's your jeep, do you have any shots from the front so i can see how your lights look?
our jeeps are very similar looking.

You either like or hate exos. I like the look of them and will have one later this year. It's all about personal preference. I don't like the look of flares especially bushcrackers but some love them. Mine will be built to withstand a roll because I wheel my heep pretty hard and have already flopped it 4 times and took a lit roll on the roof once and the interior is too small for a decent cage.
