No i dont. We get a 15 percent discount at the ups store for packing thats it. When you first get hired they tell you plainly the only perks you will get here at ups is on your paycheck.

Dang that's too bad. If you got free shipping that'd be a sick perk. Almost would make me want to work for them lol.

BTW that would have pissed me off to. I wasnt trying to be harsh. I was just trying to explain why shipping is getting costly. But in your case i would have been pissed to cause they said it was 20 bucks and then they hit you up later with the crazy amount. I am glad they let you cancel it.

I respect everyones right to voice concerns and complaints about companies. However I do ask that all personal attacks and real names be left off. I also ask that this remain civil and everyone acts like adults.

Remember do not post other folks personal names & email addresses when copying emails and such. Remember your issue is with the company not the person sending the email.

Sorry OKC, I didn't even think about that honestly. Next time I post up an email I'll be sure to delete the names.

Having worked at the main center for our online-retail store since I was 14 until just recently, I can almost certainly see what happened as I have seen it happen so many times before.

99% of the shipments are going to be within the 48. When a company offers a "quote", they have the weight of the items chosen and you give them the ZIP. Any shipment out of the 48 hits a big wall of variants for that "quote" to be accurate. So most of the time they'll give a generic price until you get the full price (which should be stated on their site somewhere). As someone else mentioned on here, having to deal with stuff like this (read misunderstandings) is just part of the convenience of not having to actually directly interact with another human ('cause we all hate them don't we?).

The cancellation was probably out of no response (or the receiving of your colorful response) from you. I'm not saying, I'm just sayin'. However, I will say that if you do want your straps, tell anyone to ship anything to you using "Parcel Post" through USPS. Takes a little longer to get to the AK and HI, but holy snaps is it cheaper. On average I see it take about a week longer (when they say 3), but I'd say it cost 10-15% of what UPS and FedEx charge to get out there.

I know you've lived out of the 48 for a while as you mentioned, so things appear differently just as they appear differently for me. I really think someone that is shipping out of the 48 should actually spend some time out there to see what it's "really" like to get something you want/need.

I could see how that happens however, Morris4x4 is the only website that has ever ever ever given me an inaccurate shipping quote and I've been having things shipped to myself in both Alaska and now Hawaii since the dawn of e-commerce.

If everyone else can do it right, why is morris4x4 unable to? I asked them and they have yet to reply.

The shop I work for occasionally has hiccups in our online retail system.

Stuff happens. Life goes on. Not the end or the world.

So don't buy from them anymore. Easy enough.
